Treat yourself to sweet seaside gelato

Just off the shores of Chichibugahama Beach, Hyakusai Katen is located within Hyakusai Syoten, a souvenir shop that aims to tell the story of the surrounding area.
From the owner's initial desire to bring joy to the visitors to Chichibugahama Beach sprang the idea to sell gelato, something anyone can enjoy regardless of age and gender. They imagined men and women of all ages coming together to enjoy gelato while looking out across the sea.

Hyakusai Katen recommends the boysenberry (made with locally-grown boysenberries) and the vanilla (made with locally-prouced eggs). Boysenberries are a variety of raspberry, and have their characteristic mix of sweetness and tartness. The vanilla is rich, incorporating eggs produced at Namiuchi Poultry Farm, just off the coast of Chichibugahama Beach. It's rich yet mild flavor is addictively delicious!
