Sakaguchiya Sweet Shop

Each sweet made with care. Nama dorayaki featuring seasonal fruit is very popular.

【Kanonji, Kagawa】 Long standing Japanese sweet shop established in 1972. Sakaguchiya's main product is the easy-to-eat dorayaki, and each individual dorayaki is made with great care. Using only the best wheat, eggs, and other ingredients, the dorayaki cakes are grilled to fluffy perfection. They are cute and popular as gifts - so they sell like hotcakes (pun intended).
The seasonal fruit nama dora uses two fluffy cakes to nestle homemade cream and ripe fruit, and is a new style of dorayaki invented by the 2nd generation shop owner, Fujimura, that combines elements of both Japanese and Western sweets. The shop owner takes great joy in making the sweets and wants everyone to feel happy looking at them, eating them, or receiving them as gifts.
There are seasonal, limited edition dorayaki as well, such a shine muscat grape, mont blanc. and matcha, which feature Takase tea.

  • Autumn seasonal dorayaki - persimmon, mont blanc, grape (Nagano purple)
  • The red noren curtain is a symbol of the shop. Inside is modern and relaxing.
