Matsugaya is the former residence of Chuzaemon Shiota, who was a merchant prosperous from ocean shipping and salt making business. There are many interesting things to explore inside the residence as every nook and cranny is filled with designs that are pleasing to the senses.
Matsugaya is available as a rental space, such as for taking wedding or coming of age ceremony photos against the high-sense Taisho Roman retro backdrop.
