Shinohara Confectionery

A longtime staple of the community, loved for its western-style sweets

Since 1935 this confectionery has been making delicious, homemade mikasa manju filled with sweet bean paste, and soft and fluffy steamed oboro manju. Recently, they have begun using the ingredients for traditional Japanese sweets to make wagashi doughnuts and their popular nama dora: dorayaki filled with whipped cream. Don't forget to try their cafe dora, with coffee-flavored cream, and in the winter, another variety with matcha cream.
