Takase Green Tea (Takase Tea Association)
Sweet with just the right amount of tart. Fragrant Kagawan green tea.
Fragrant and with the perfect mixture of bitter and sweet. Visitors can taste-test teas, learn more about tea, and even tour the facilities. The shop sells not only each kind of tea leaves, but also finished goods produced with tea. The first harvest of the season is in late April and brings the promise of the teas to be produced each year.
Takase-cho, Mitoyo produces 80% of the tea grown in Kagawa. In the central part of Ninomiya in Takase-cho's southern region, the tea fields spread as far as the eye can see. During Ninomiya's town festival (held at the end of April), visitors can try picking tea for themselves.
