Taste authentic seafood dishes at this Izakaya that is well-trafficed by locals. The weekday lunch specials are particularly popular, with favorites like Tempura, Sashimi, and Kara-age.
Of particular note is the Fisherman's Feast (gyoshi no gochisou ozen, ¥1,680), designed around dishes that a fisherman would cook for themself. It includes locally-caught fish from the Seto Insland Sea, such as bream, yellowtail, bigfin reef squid, shrimp, and more for and indulgent meal including marinated raw fish over rice, tempura, and fish meatballs made with conger eel and Japanese pilchard.
The proprietor's grandfather was a fisherman, and the menu comes from the experience of visiting their grandparents as a child and seeing what their grandmother made. All of the dishes that were made on special occasions have been gathered together into one set. The Setouchi Special Set (Setouchi ni miryoku afureru teishoku) includes such delicacies as Setouchi-raised bream made into Bream Soup, sashimi, tempura, and more!
